Modafinil and SWSD
Modafinil has been recently approved in Canada for the treatment of excessive sleepiness that is caused by shift work sleep disorder.
People that have been given Modafinil to treat that disorder and its main symptom have had increased sleep latency, comparing to a placebo group. In addition to this, the number of accidents have been reduced.
Modafinil can be a cause of certain side effects, like headaches and nausea, but what’s good is that it doesn’t have an effect on the night sleep.
